SOUTH AFRICAN HIP HOP AWARDS 2014 At long last, we are ready to announce that the SA Hip Hop Awards 2014, will be taking place on the 17th of December at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, Johannesburg. The theme this year is 20yrs of Freedom . Great achievements within the local hip hop culture will be celebrated by focusing on how the past has shaped this phenomenon called “SA Hip Hop”. Accolades will be given to active members within the industry. Winners receive a statue that is called a Pyramid. The show will boast a number of appearances, live performances and tributes by today’s leading musicians. This will be prerecorded for ETV broadcasting purposes NOMINATIONS C ontenders are judged on performances and achievements made between 15th September 2013 and 15th September 2014.
